‘Tis the Season

It’s the festive season and we at EZ STAK would like to take a moment to extend our good wishes to you – our valued customers. It’s a busy time of year for everyone but it is our hope that the excitement of the holidays and the spirit of goodwill finds its way to you and yours.

With this in mind, our family-based business whole-heartedly decided to support causes that make a difference in our local communities this year. In recognition of our Canadian customers, we have chosen the University Hospitals Foundation Kingston, which supports and reinforces excellence in health care services to over 500,000 residents in the Kingston, ON. Funds raised support programs, research, education and purchase state-of-the-art equipment.   In particular, we will be supporting the efforts of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre at Hotel Dieu Hospital where patients receive specialized care on the road to recovery and assistance in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Closer to our Schaumburg, IL roots in the United States, we will be contributing to the C.O.P.S. Foundation. The Concerns of Police Survivors remembers the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers who have given their life to protect our way of life. C.O.P.S. provides financial assistance to the families and offers hands-on programs to help spouses, children, siblings and co-workers rebuild shattered lives. Programs are free for survivors to attend and are held in a relaxed setting to help them on their journey of grief and coping.

It is our privilege to be able to contribute to these charities and reminds us that we are grateful for the efforts these – and other worthwhile organizations – provide throughout the year.

Once again, we wish you all things bright and merry this holiday season and extend best wishes for a healthy, prosperous and joyful new year.

Happy Holidays from the EZ STAK Team

About University Hospitals Foundation Kingston

hospital-foundation-kingston

The University Hospitals Kingston Foundation was created in 2005 as the joint fundraising arm of Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston General Hospital and Providence Care. On July 1st, 2014, UHKF amalgamated with the foundations at each of the hospitals, creating the new UHKF organization, responsible for fundraising, granting, distribution and reporting.

In May 2014, UHKF became one of the first 100 Canadian nonprofits and charities (and the sixth hospital foundation) to receive accreditation through the Imagine Canada Standards Program. This program is designed to demonstrate compliance with 73 industry standards in five key areas: board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, staff management and volunteer involvement.
